The Georgian Bay Food Network opened its doors in December 2021 under the direction of Executive Director Alex Hamelin. Alex credits two Guys members, Leo Houle and Bob Dolan, for their very significant help in getting GBFN off the ground. The organization grew rapidly and currently provides regular support to approximately 2,000 people.
Our $17,675 donation was presented to Alex on May 26th, 2023.
In October 2025, GWC had the pleasure of choosing GBFN for a second time, with a whopping donation of $28,500 to help those in need as we approach the Holiday Season.
